The most positive, encouraging and successful way to play golf!
_______
We are two run-of-the-mill golfers who have played the game together for over 40 years. Recently one of us finally got so disgusted with scoring poorly he decided to ignore his bad shots and begin counting just his "good shots". It worked! He likes golf again!
It can work for you, too! We formalized this system and call it the Good Shot Golf Scoring System. We are offering this unique scoring method to help you feel more encouraged and successful with your golf game.
It's great for beginning golfers, high handicappers, discouraged golfers, or anyone wanting less stress and more joy from golf. Why beat yourself up by never nearing par? Add more pleasure to your game by focusing on your successes, not your failures. Enjoy!

__________
GENERAL PRINCIPLE: Only count your Good Shots, not the bad ones
GOAL: Get as many Good Shots as possible - the higher the score, the better
PAR: 36 Good Shots per full round– average 2 Good Shots per hole
________
No matter how many bad shots you make, the very next one may be a good shot...and that is the only one that counts in Good Shot Golf!
1. Any drive from the tee box coming to rest in the mown fairway is a Good Shot.
2. Any shot from off the fairway that comes to rest in the fairway is a Good Shot.
3. Any shot over water, brush or trees is a Good Shot.
4. Any shot out of a bunker is a Good Shot.
5. Any shot from beyond the green that comes to rest on the green is a Good Shot.
6. Any long putt that comes to rest within "gimme" distance (as agreed to by golfing partners) is a Good Shot.
7. Any putt made from beyond "gimme" distance is a Good Shot.
8. The player will determine all other shots that qualify as Good Shots based upon their own satisfaction with:
a) The result of the shot no matter the quality - (such as the distance achieved from a long worm burner)
b) The quality of the shot no matter the result - (such as a solid, lengthy airborne shot into water or brush)
Remember your Good Shots...and you can't wait to play golf again
